Thomas Built Buses will add 200 jobs
March 10, 2016
Thomas Built Buses announced plans to hire 200 people for its manufacturing operations in High Point.
The work force growth comes as the school-bus maker adds a second shift at its Saf-T-Liner C2 Plant to meet increased demand for the product.
The High Point-based firm is seeking assembly technicians, robotic technicians, tool and die operators, electricians and maintenance mechanics.
Information about specific jobs and qualifications is available at NCWorks.gov, where potential applicants should search Thomas Built Buses.
Thomas Built’s Saf-T-Liner C2 school bus was launched in 2004. More than 75,000 units have been sold and "its popularity continues to grow," according to the company.
Thomas Built is a subsidiary of Daimler Trucks North America LLC.
